Minnesota Vikings' pass rush will try slowing down Russell Wilson

RENTON, Wash. — Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson has been on fire with 11 touchdown passes and no interceptions in the last four games.

“He knows how we play and he understands what I'm saying,” said Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll.

"He bought in from the first time he was with us, he bought in with the philosophy and the approach. He's championed it forever and he’s been phenomenal at it.”

Wilson and the Seahawks offense have a chance to do something very special on "Monday Night" Football against a Vikings defense that has all sorts of weapons.

"They know the game [very well],” said Carroll. “They mask what they're doing exceedingly well. They're fast, they're athletic and the experience really makes them really difficult."

One of the matchups the 12s are very really excited about is how the Seahawks young secondary will do against one of the best wide receiver duos in the NFL in Adam Thielen and Stefon Diggs.

"Oh, they're good,” Bobby Wagner, a Seahawks linebacker, said. “They've got a bunch of receivers. They've got a great tight end, you know, that can get the job done too. I wouldn't be surprised if they just came in here and just tried to pass the ball the whole time."

As Wagner and the defense look ahead to this game, their teammate K.J. Wright is the Seahawks nominee for the 2018 Walter Payton NFL Man of The Year Award.

Wright has been helping to bring clean water to kids in Kenya.

"I’m thankful that they voted for me to be the Walter Payton Man of The Year,” said Wright. “It's always been a goal of mine since I stepped in the building. I didn't know what it was and then I found out about it and I was always like, 'Man, I want to be that guy one day."
