SEATTLE — The man who led police on a wild high-speed chase from Bellevue to Seattle faced a judge Tuesday.
Only Chopper 7 was in the air as Aric Knapik, 24, was taken into custody earlier this month.
His attorney entered a not guilty plea on his behalf Tuesday on six felony charges that include assault, domestic violence, burglary, and eluding police.

He appeared in court shackled and in a white jumpsuit. The color of the outfit identifies him as a high security inmate.
Jail officials told the judge since his arrest Knapik tried to escape from authorities and also attempted to hurt himself.

Prosecutors said Knapik was behind the wheel of a black Jeep Cherokee taking police from Bellevue through Renton to South Seattle.

Charging documents said it all started after he attacked his ex-girlfriend inside her apartment.
Our video shows Knapik losing control of the jeep, trying to carjack another driver.
This was before police swarmed the area and took him into custody.
Knapik is due back in court next month.
He remains behind bars on a $2 million bail.
