Man rescued after fall down embankment

SEATTLE — A 61-year-old man was rescued after falling down an embankment Saturday in Seattle's Leschi neighborhood.

Seattle fire crews were called to the 300 block of Lake Washington Boulevard South at Frink Park to perform a rope rescue, officials said.

While part of the rescue crew made their way down 30 to 40 feet to treat and secure the man, the other crew lowered a basket and pulled the man up.

Once at the top, the man was evaluated and taken to Harborview Medical Center, officials said.

No information was given on what caused the man to fall.
