Body of man who jumped off boat near SeaTac found

SEATAC, Wash. — A man's body was recovered Saturday from a SeaTac lake.

The man, in his 20s, was reported missing after jumping off of a white-and-grey inflatable boat and into Angle Lake.

Kent Fire tweeted out that the body had been located at 6:13 p.m. He had been missing for over two hours.

Two people were on the boat, according to authorities.

King County Rescue crews responded a bit before 4 p.m.

Witnesses say the man was seen jumping from the boat and into the lake where he immediately sank.

KIRO 7's Rob Munoz spoke to the man's brother, who said the victim did not know how to swim.

He said the victim was out on the lake with his brother-in-law.

According to King County Rescue, the man was not wearing a life jacket when he jumped.

The water in the area where the man jumped is about 50 degrees and 50 feet deep, officials said.

Burien, Renton and South King firefighters also responded to the incident.
