VANCOUVER, Wash — Police have arrested a Vancouver, Washington, man who they say was selling fake tickets to events in the Portland, Oregon, area.
The Vancouver Police Department says 30-year-old Ahmad Shahrokh was arrested Thursday on charges of forgery, theft and possession of controlled substances.
Authorities were looking for a man with a green car after several people bought the fake tickets took photographs of the man and reported the car's license plate.
Police said at least two people who bought the tickets learned they were forged when they were rejected at the box office.
Police say those purchasers found online commentary and matching photos from additional victims.
Police say the detailed information led to Shahrokh's arrest.
