Man arrested in attack, attempted rape of woman in Woodway

WOODWAY, Wash. — A man was arrested in Woodway after he reportedly attacked and tried to sexually assault a woman.

Investigators say the attack happened around 5:30 p.m. Sunday near the Woodway waterfront.

Police say the man confronted a random woman, choked her, and then threatened to drown her.

The woman was not hurt badly, but she is recovering at the hospital.

Police found the suspect and pulled him out of some bushes to make the arrest.
