Three big crashes on Interstate 5 caused huge delays.
1. One of the worst accidents was in Federal Way, where cars were jammed in a nine-mile backup. The slowdown stemmed from a crash that happened around 5 a.m. near State Route 516.
KIRO 7 News' Jeff Dubois went to the crash, which was in Des Moines.

2. Another crash happened around 6 a.m. on NB I-5 in Fife. The crash in Fife was near the aforementioned crash in Des Moines; this caused a collective 12-mile backup in the area.
3. A separate crash in Everett is causing delays on southbound I-5 as well. Cars were delayed by a five-mile backup just before State Route 526. The crash happened around 4:45 a.m.
