Warrant issued for maintenance worker accused of stealing jewelry from assisted living residents

BELLEVUE, Wash. — A felony warrant has been issued for a 53-year-old man who is accused of stealing jewelry from residents at an assisted living facility in Bellevue while he was employed as a maintenance worker.

The thefts are alleged to have occurred in June at The Gardens At Town Square, located in the 900 block of 111th Avenue Northeast.

In a probable cause document, police said Timothy Ray Woodall stole valuables from three residents and sold them to a pawn shop.

In total, police said Woodall stole eight pocket watches, two stop watches, two gold rings valued at a total of $31,000, a gold bracelet and a gold necklace.

According to a probable cause document, police reviewed a list of all 111 employees at the facility and compared it to a list of pawn shop transactions.

Police said Woodall’s transactions at a pawn shop were for the stolen items.

On July 12, officers said they contacted officials at the living facility, who said Woodall was still employed but had recently put in his resignation notice “about the time the new electronic locks were coming for the residents.”

Officials said the electronics locks were to update security as a result of the thefts.

Woodall was arrested on July 12 without incident and was booked into the King County Jail.

In charging documents, prosecutors said Woodall indicated that he lived out of a vehicle in a campground near Snoqualmie Pass and requested that bail be set at $2,500.

“Given the potential flight risk, the State requests that bail remain the same given,” prosecutors wrote.

On Tuesday, Bellevue police said "Woodall bailed out of jail on July 14th and has not been seen since.  He has been charged, and there is now a felony warrant out for his arrest. Police have checked Woodall's last known area of residence and have been unable to locate him."

Police said Woodall was last seen driving a dark green 2000 full-sized Ford Excursion SUV with WA license plate BMD5446.

"He has family in California and was rumored to be moving there soon. If you see Woodall or his SUV, please call 911 immediately," police said.

Woodall was officially charged with three counts of first-degree trafficking in stolen property on July 17.

His criminal history includes convictions for burglary, fraud and unlawful use of a weapon, among others.
