Linebacker K.J. Wright returns to Seahawks practice

RENTON, Wash. — Even after the loss to the Los Angeles Rams, the Seahawks still have a chance to reach the postseason.

But they'll need to win out and get some help along the way.

And it starts with getting back on track against Dallas on Sunday in Arlington, Texas.

Linebacker K.J. Wright has cleared concussion protocol and was back at Seahawks practice today. Wright and linebacker Bobby Wagner are expected to play against Dallas in this must-win game.

"It feels good to have those guys back out there,” Pete Carroll, the Seahawks head coach, said. “Those guys have been stalwarts for us for a long time and to get those guys back out there, it feels good."

Wagner addressed how he handled himself in reaction to comments made by Earl Thomas after Sunday's loss to the Rams.
Thomas said that Wagner should not have played on an injured hamstring, starting a Twitter spat between the two.

Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said it's been resolved.

"Do I feel like I mishandled the situation? Yeah, there was a better way of going about the situation. I could have did better,” said Wagner. "I'm man enough to admit that I handled the situation wrong and I'll do better moving forward."

One of the other big stories heading into Sunday's game is the return of Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott. Here's what Seahawks fans should know:  head coach Jason Garrett told The Dallas Morning News that Elliott looks like he's in good shape and has had no problem falling back into a routine.

"I think having a strong run game like that not only helps him but helps [Cowboys quarterback] Dak [Prescott] and we have to try to make them one-dimensional,” said Wagner. “Don't let them get the running game started and then they open up the passing game."

"Personally, I look forward to it because I know adversity only introduces you to who you really are,” said Seahawks wide receiver Doug Baldwin. “And if we can get through this, then we can really build upon it for the long run."
