LAKEWOOD, Wash. — The Lakewood Police Department is searching for an attempted murder suspect.
Police identified 43-year-old Leon Franklin Murray as the assailant in a recent shooting that happened at the Best Value Inn on Feb. 15 around 7:35 p.m.

Responding officers found a female victim in the parking lot. She had multiple gunshot wounds.
Police said the victim was transported in critical condition to an area hospital.
Murray is described by police as 5 feet, 11 inches tall and weighing approximately 195 pounds.
“Suspect should be considered armed and dangerous. Do not attempt to contact,” Lakewood police said in a news release.
