NEAR SNOQUALMIE PASS — A four-car crash caused a 22-mile backup Sunday, shutting down the eastbound lanes of I-90 just east of Snoqualmie Pass.
Authorities said several people were seriously injured. One person was confirmed dead in the crash.
Eastbound traffic was stopped at milepost 47, near the Denny Creek area. According to authorities, the area was reopened just before 5 p.m.
FINAL UPDATE: All lanes EB at 47 and 76 are back open. You will see delays at 47 until traffic starts to clear out.

Officials warned drivers to expect significant delays on westbound I-90 as well.
The area has been cleared. The cause of the crash is under investigation.
