How to search for sex offenders in your neighborhood on Halloween

Updated:

Before taking children trick-or-treating this Halloween, many parents want to take a closer look at where sex offenders live in their neighborhood.

There are many different websites to check for sex offenders living nearby, but KIRO 7 found several websites have outdated information, not updating after sex offenders move to new locations.

Sex offenders are allowed to hand out candy on Halloween, unless it is specified in the release documents from the Department of Corrections that they are not allowed to be around children.

KIRO 7 check with local authorities to find the most up-to-date database of sex offenders, and those are sorted by county. Use the links below to check for sex offenders in your own neighborhood.
