Body found by hikers in Carnation is that of missing woman

CARNATION, Wash. — A woman who was found near Tolt MacDonald Park in Carnation Thursday afternoon has been identified as 53-year-old Lorene F. Bardy.

Hikers found Bardy's body near the park at Northeast 52nd and 254nd Northeast in Carnation.

Sheriff's spokesperson Cindi West said the body was found on a trail at about 4:30 p.m.

Bardy, 53,  was reported missing and was last seen in the early-morning hours on April 26.  She lived in Carnation.

Bardy reportedly had life-threatening health issues and took medication.

The cause of Bardy's death will be determined by the medical examiner's office.
