Golf course maintenance shop destroyed in Bremerton

BREMERTON, Wash. — A Bremerton maintenance shop was destroyed by an early-morning fire Wednesday.

Central Kitsap Fire and Rescue crews were called to a structure fire at the Rolling Hills Golf Course on Northeast McWilliams Road at 1 a.m.

Crews arrived to find heavy fire coming from the maintenance shop and threatening a home about 10 feet away.

While firefighters were able to keep the home safe, the shop is a total loss.

The home is occupied by on-site managers. They were able to get out safely with their three dogs.

The Kitsap County Fire Marshal will be investigating the cause of the fire.

Bremerton Fire, Navy Region Northwest, and Poulsbo Fire were also called to assist.
