Former Seahawks highlight Seattle Dragons' picks in XFL Draft

SEATTLE — Seattle Dragons fans will see some familiar names when the team takes the field for the first time in February.

The Dragons selected nine former Seattle Seahawks so far in the 2019 XFL Draft: WR Keenan Reynolds, WR Kasen Williams, OT Isaiah Battle, OG Robert Myers, DT Taniela Tupou, CB Mohammed Seisay, RB Lavon Coleman, DT Jeremy Liggins, and QB/WR BJ Daniels.

During the two-day draft the Dragons filled out a 71-man roster by selecting players from specific positional groupings:

1. Skill Players (QB, RB, WR, TE)
2. Offensive Line (OT, OG, OC)
3. Defensive Front Seven (DL, LB)
4. Defensive Backfield (CB, NB, SS, FS)
5. Open Draft (all remaining players after positional drafts, in addition to P/K/LS)

Here's a breakdown of each player selected by the Dragons:

Skill positions:

Assigned: Brandon Silvers, QB, Troy: A 6 foot, 3 inch, 219 pound quarterback, Silvers finished his career at Troy University with 10,677 yards passing and a 64.4% completion rating. After going undrafted in the 2018 NFL Draft, Silvers was invited to the New Orleans Saints rookie minicamp, but was not signed. Silvers played for the Memphis Express last spring in the now-defunct XFL and spent a month with the New York Jets in the offseason.

  1. Trey Williams, RB, Texas A&M (7): A 5 foot, 7 inch, 200-pound running back, Williams finished his career at Texas A&M University with 1,343 rushing yards on 204 carries with 18 rushing touchdowns. Williams went undrafted in the 2015 draft and has spent time on the following rosters: Washington Redskins, Dallas Cowboys (twice), New England Patriots, Miami Dolphins, Indianapolis Colts, Pittsburgh Steelers, Toronto Argonauts (CFL) and San Antonio Commanders (AFL). Williams recorded two carries for 12 yards while on the Cowboys active roster in 2017.
  2. Kenneth Farrow, RB, Houston (10): A 5 foot, 9 inch, 220-pound running back, Farrow finished his career at the University of Houston with 2,980 rushing yards on 560 carries and scored 34 rushing touchdowns. Farrow was signed as an undrafted free agent by the San Diego Chargers following the 2016 NFL Draft. In his time with the Chargers, Farrow had 60 carries for 192 yards and 13 receptions for 70 yards. Farrow has also briefly played for the New England Patriots, the Miami Dolphins and San Antonio Commanders (AAF).
  3. Fred Ross, WR, Mississippi State (23): A 6 foot, 2 inch, 205-pound wide receiver, Ross finished his career at Texas A&M University with 199 receptions for 2,528 yards and 22 touchdowns. Ross signed with the Carolina Panthers after going undrafted in the 2017 NFL Draft. He was released on Sept. 25, 2018.
  4. Jace Amaro, TE, Texas Tech (26): A 6 foot, 5 inch, 265-pound tight end, Amaro was a second-round pick in the 2014 NFL Draft by the New York Jets after starring at Texas Tech University. In three seasons with the Red Raiders, Amaro recorded 138 receptions for 1,818 yards and 14 touchdowns. Amaro was released after playing for two years for the Jets and went on to play three games for the Tennessee Titans. Amaro has also spent time on the Kansas City Chiefs offseason roster. In 17 total NFL games, Amaro recorded 41 receptions for 404 yards and two touchdowns.
  5. Keenan Reynolds, WR, Navy (39): A 5 foot, 10 inch, 185-pound wide receiver, Reynolds finished his career as a quarterback at the United States Naval Academy with 4,001 yards passing for 31 touchdowns and eight interceptions. With the midshipmen, Reynolds ran 977 times for 4,559 yards and 88 touchdowns. His 88 rushing touchdowns are an NCAA Division 1 record. Reynolds was drafted by the Baltimore Ravens in the sixth round of the 2016 NFL Draft. He also played for the Washington Redskins before he was signed by the Seattle Seahawks in May 2018. Reynolds played in two games for the Seahawks and was released during final roster cuts in August.
  6. Evan Rodriguez, TE, Temple (42): A 6 foot, 2 inch, 238-pound tight end, Rodriguez began his collegiate career at West Virginia before transferring to Temple University. At Temple, Rodriguez recorded 69 receptions for 871 yards and seven touchdowns. Rodriguez was a fourth-round pick in the 2012 NFL Draft by the Chicago Bears. He played one year for the Bears and has also been a member of the Miami Dolphins, Buffalo Bills and Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He most recently was a member of the San Antonio Commanders of the AAF.
  7. Kasen Williams, WR, Washington (55): A 6 foot, 1 inch, 220-pound wide receiver, Williams starred at Skyline High School in Sammamish before playing at the University of Washington. At UW, Williams had 162 receptions for 1,915 yards and 15 touchdowns. He went undrafted in the 2015 NFL Draft and signed with the Cincinnati Bengals. After he was released by the Bengals, Williams signed with the Seattle Seahawks. Williams was on the Seahawks roster for two years before he was released before the start of the 2017 regular season. Williams has also been a member of the Cleveland Browns and the Indianapolis Colts. In 10 career NFL games, Williams recorded 10 receptions for 92 yards.
  8. John Santiago, RB, North Dakota (58): A 5 foot, 9 inch, 170-pound running back, Santiago finished his career at North Dakota with 622 carries for 3,722 yards and 29 rushing touchdowns. Santiago was a three-time FCS All-American. He went undrafted in the 2019 NFL Draft.
  9. Cam Clear, TE, Texas A&M (71): A 6 foot, 5 inch, 277-pound tight end, Clear began his collegiate career at the University of Tennessee and finished his career at Texas A&M University with nine receptions for 76 yards and one touchdown. Clear went undrafted in the 2015 NFL Draft has been a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers, Indianapolis Colts and San Antonio Commanders (AAF).
  10. Malachi Jones, WR, Appalachian State (74): A 6 foot, 2 inch, 205-pound wide receiver, Jones finished his career at Appalachian State with 124 receptions for 1,711 yards and eight touchdowns. After going undrafted in the 2016 NFL Draft, Jones signed a free-agent deal with the Atlanta Falcons but was waived after rookie minicamp. Jones was also briefly a member of the Chicago Bears, but was waived at the end of training camp in 2018. Jones has also played for the High County Grizzlies (National Arena League), Atlanta Havoc (American Arena League), Albany Empire (Arena Football League), and the Atlanta Legends (AAF).

Offensive Line: 

  1. Isaiah Battle, T, Clemson (2): A 6 foot, 7 inch, 370-pound tackle, Battle played collegiately at Clemson University. Battle was selected in the fifth round of the 2015 NFL Supplemental Draft by the St. Louis Rams. Battle has also played for the Kansas City Chiefs, Seattle Seahawks and the Carolina Panthers.
  2. Venzell Boulware, G, Tennessee (15): A 6 foot, 3 inch, 305-pound guard, Boulware played collegiately at the University of Tennessee and at the University of Miami. Boulware left Miami with one year of eligibility remaining and went undrafted in the 2019 NFL Draft.
  3. Dillon Day, C, Mississippi State (18): A 6 foot, 4 inch, 300-pound center, Day was the starting center at Mississippi State four seasons. Day went undrafted in the 2015 NFL Draft, but signed with the Denver Broncos. Day was on the Broncos practice squad when the team won Super Bowl 50 over the Carolina Panthers. Day has also played for the Indianapolis Colts, Broncos, Green Bay Packers and the San Francisco 49ers.
  4. Cyril Richardson, G, Baylor (31): A 6 foot, 5 inch, 330-pound guard, Richardson was a three-year starter at Baylor University. Richardson was the 2013 Big 12 Offensive Lineman of the Year and a unanimous first team All-American following his senior season. He was a fifth-round pick in the 2014 NFL Draft by the Buffalo Bills and played in 12 games as a rookie. Richardson has also been a member of the Chicago Bears and San Antonio Commanders (AFL)
  5. Quinterrius Eatmon, T, Florida (34): A 6 foot, 6 inch, 315-pound tackle, Eatmon played collegiately at the University of South Florida. Eatmon started 46 of 47 games during his college career .
  6. Michael Dunn, T, Maryland (47): A 6 foot, 5 inch, 300-pound tackle, Dunn played collegiately at the University of Maryland. During his college career, Dunn played in 48 games and was a two-time honorable mention All-Big Ten selection.
  7. Kirk Barron, C, Purdue (50): A 6 foot, 2 inch, 300-pound Center, Barron played collegiately at Purdue University. At Purdue, Barron played in 43 games. Barron went undrafted in the 2019 NFL Draft and signed with the Miami Dolphins. Barron has also been a member of the Cincinnati Bengals.
  8. Jordan Rose, T, Idaho (63): A 6 foot, 6 inch 345-pound tackle, Rose played collegiately at the University of Idaho after playing for Freeman High School in Spokane. With the Vandals, Rose played in 41 career games.
  9. Robert Myers, G, Tennessee State (66): A 6 foot, 5 inch, 325-pound guard, Myers was drafted in the fifth round of the 2015 NFL Draft by the Baltimore Ravens after playing collegiately at Tennessee State. Myers has been a member of the Colts, Broncos and Seahawks. Myers was on the Broncos roster, but was inactive, when they won Super Bowl 50.
  10. Craig McCorkle, T, California, Pa. (79): A 6 foot, 5 inch, 290-pound tackle, McCorkle played collegiately at California University of Pennsylvania. McCorkle finished his collegiate career with 31 games played.

Defensive Front Seven:

  1. Stansly Mosponga, DE, TCU (3): A 6 foot, 2 inch, 255-pound defensive end, Mosponga played collegiately at Texas Christian University. Mosponga started 34 of 36 games played at TCU and was a fifth-round pick by the Atlanta Falcons in the 2013 NFL Draft. Mosponga has also played for the New York Giants, Dallas Cowboys and Denver Broncos. In 26 career NFL games, Mosponga recorded eight total tackles and one sack.
  2. Nick Temple, LB, Cincinnati (14): A 5 foot, 10 inch, 220-pound linebacker, Temple finished his career at Cincinnati with 52 games played, 282 total tackles and 11 sacks. Temple went undrafted in the 2015 NFL Draft and most recently played for the Winnipeg Blue Bombers of the CFL.
  3. Will Sutton, DT, Arizona State (19): A 6 foot, 1 inch, 290-pound defensive tackle, Sutton played collegiately at Arizona State University. In 37 career games at ASU, Sutton recorded 113 total tackles and 16.5 sacks. Sutton was a third-round pick in the 2014 NFL Draft by the Chicago Bears. Sutton has also played for the Minnesota Vikings, San Francisco 49ers and Arizona Hotshots (AAF).
  4. Tenny Palepoi, DE, Utah (30): A 6 foot, 1 inch, 300-pound defensive tackle, Palepoi played to seasons of college football at the University of Utah where he recorded 74 total tackles and 6.5 sacks. After going undrafted in the 2014 NFL Draft, Palepoi played for the San Diego/Los Angeles Chargers for three seasons. In 44 career NFL games, Palepoi recorded 35 totals tackles and one sack. Palepoi has also been a member of the Buffalo Bills and Salt Lake Stallions (AAF).
  5. Jacquies Smith, DE, Missouri (35): A 6 foot, 2 inch, 260-pound defensive end, Smith played collegiately at the University of Missouri. With the Tigers, Smith played in 31 games and recorded 142 total tackles and 9.5 sacks. After going undrafted in the 2012 NFL Draft, Smith signed with the Miami Dolphins. Smith's most extensive NFL action came with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers where he played from 2014-2017. Smith has also played for the Buffalo Bills, Detroit Lions, Arizona Cardinals and Oakland Raiders. Smith has played in 37 NFL games and has recorded 13.5 sacks.
  6. Steven Johnson, LB, Kansas (46): A 6 foot, 1 inch 240-pound linebacker, Johnson played collegiately at the University of Kansas. At Kansas, Johnson recorded 225 total tackles, three sacks, two forced fumbles and an interception. Johnson went undrafted in the 2012 NFL Draft, but signed with the Denver Broncos where he played for three seasons. Johnson has also played for the Tennessee Titans, Pittsburgh Steelers, Baltimore Ravens and Arizona Hotshots (AAF). Johnson has played in 74 career NFL games.
  7. Taniela Tupou, DT, Washington (51): A 6 foot, 1 inch, 285-pound defensive tackle, Tupou played collegiately at the University of Washington after starring at Archbishop Murphy in Everett. At UW, Tupou appeared in 46 career games and recorded 59 tackles. Tupou went undrafted in the 2016 NFL Draft, but signed with the Seahawks where he played one game before he was released. Tupou has also played for the Atlanta Falcons, Arizona Cardinals and San Diego Fleet (AAF).
  8. Danny Ezechukwu, DE, Purdue (62): A 6 foot, 2 inch, 250-pound defensive end, Ezechukwu played collegiately at Purdue University where he played in 49 career games and recorded 224 total tackles. Ezechukwu went undrafted in the 2018 NFL Draft and signed with the Philadelphia Eagles. He has also played for the San Antonio Commanders (AAF).
  9. Pasoni Tasini, DT, Utah (67): A 6 foot, 3 inch, 307-pound defensive tackle, Tasini played collegiately at the University of Utah where he recorded 35 tackles and 1.5 sacks. After going undrafted in the 2017 NFL Draft, Tasini signed with the Arizona Cardinals and appeared on the active roster for one game.
  10. Praise Martin-Oguike, DE Temple (78): A 6 foot, 2 inch, 260-pound defensive end, Martin-Oguike played collegiately at Temple University where he recorded 124 tackles, 20 sacks and 12 forced fumbles. Martin-Oguike signed with the Miami Dolphins after going undrafted in the 2017 NFL. He has also been a member of the Arizona Cardinals

Defensive backs 

  1. Jhavonte Dean, CB, Miami (6): A 6 foot, 1 inch, 185-pound cornerback, Dean played collegiately at the University of Miami for two seasons. At Miami, Dean played in 25 games and recorded three interceptions. Dean went undrafted in the 2019 NFL draft and signed with the Cleveland Browns where he made three tackles in three preseason games. Dean has also been a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers.
  2. Chris Davis, CB, Auburn (11): A 5 foot, 11 inch, 200-pound cornerback, Davis played collegiately at Auburn University where he is most known for returning a missed 57-yard field goal with one second remaining 100-yards for a touchdown to give auburn a win over Alabama in the 2013 Iron Bowl. Davis went undrafted in the 2014 NFL Draft and signed with the San Diego Chargers. He has also played for the San Francisco 49ers and Birmingham Iron (AAF).
  3. Kentrell Brice, S, Louisiana Tech (22): A 5 foot, 11 inch, 200-pound safety, Brice played collegiately at Louisiana Tech University where he played in 50 career games. Brice went undrafted in the 2016 NFL Draft and signed with the Green Bay Packers where he played for three seasons. Brice was also a member of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, but was waived at the end of this year's training camp. In 36 career NFL games, Brice recorded one sack, six passes defensed and one interception.
  4. Steve Williams, CB, California (27): A 5 foot, 10 inch, 185 pound cornerback, Williams played collegiately at the University of California, Berkeley. At Cal, Williams started 28 of 37 games played and recorded 150 tackles, nine tackles for loss and six interceptions. Williams was a third round pick by the San Diego Chargers in the 2013 NFL Draft where he played for three seasons. Williams has also played for the Los Angeles Rams and Salt Lake Stallions (AAF).
  5. Channing Stribling, CB, Michigan (38): A 6 foot, 2 inch, 180-pound cornerback, Stribling played collegiately at the University of Michigan where he played in 47 career games and recorded six interceptions. Stribling went undrafted in the 2017 NFL Draft and signed with the Cleveland Browns. Stribling has also played for the Indianapolis Colts, San Francisco 49ers, Los Angeles Chargers, Memphis Express (AAF), and Hamilton Tiger-Cats (CFL).
  6. Cody Brown, S, Arkansas State (43): A 6 foot, 2 inch, 208-pound safety, Brown played collegiately at Arkansas State University where he played in 25 career games and recorded 128 total tackles and six interceptions.
  7. Jordan Martin, S, Syracuse (54): A 6 foot, 3 inch, 206-pound safety, Martin played collegiately at Syracuse University at Toledo University. In his college career, Martin played in 42 games and recorded 99 total tackles and 14 pass breakups. Martin went undrafted in the 2018 NFL Draft has been a member of the New York Jets, San Diego Fleet (AAF) and Minnesota Vikings.
  8. Tyson Graham, S, South Dakota (59): A 6 foot, 2 inch, 194 pound safety, Graham played collegiately at the University of South Dakota where he played in 44 career games. Graham went undrafted in the 2017 NFL Draft and has been a member of the Atlanta Falcons, San Francisco 49ers and Indianapolis Colts.
  9. Mohammed Seisay, CB, Nebraska (70): A 6 foot, 2 inch, 202 pound cornerback, Seisay played collegiately at the University of Memphis and University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Seisay went undrafted in the 2014 NFL Draft and signed with the Detroit Lions. During training camp in 2015, the Seattle Seahawks traded a 6th round pick in the 2016 NFL Draft in exchange for Seisay. Seisay has also been a member of the Saskatchewan Roughriders (CFL), Winnipeg Blue Bombers (CFL) and Memphis Express (AAF).
  10. Sterling Moore, CB, SMU (75): A 5 foot, 9 inch, 200-pound cornerback, Moore played collegiately at Laney College and Southern Memphis University. At SMU, Moore played n 19 career games and recorded two interceptions and two sacks.

Notable phase one picks: 

Joe Callahan has been a member of the Green Bay Packers, New Orleans Saints, Cleveland Browns, Philadelphia Eagles, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Baltimore Ravens.

Lavon Coleman played at the University of Washington and has played for the Houston Texans, Seattle Seahawks and Green Bay Packers.

Open Draft Phase 2:

Mikah Holder WR San Diego State, Austin Proehl WR North Carolina, Korey Robertson WR Southern Mississippi, Ben Johnson TE Kansas, Brandon Haskin OT Tennessee State, Jeremy Liggins DT Mississippi, Jordan Thompson DT Northwestern, Martin Ifedi DE Memphis, Anthony Johnson DE Florida International, Dante Booker LB Ohio State.

Notable phase two picks: 

Austin Proehl was a seventh round pick in the 2018 draft by the Buffalo Bills. He has also been a member of the Tennessee Titans and Los Angeles Rams.

Brandon Haskin has played professional for the Spokane Empire in the Indoor Football League.

Jeremy Liggins signed with the Seattle Seahawks as an undrafted free agent in 2017.

Martin Ifedi was a seventh round pick in the 2015 NFL Draft by the St. Louis Rams and is the older brother of Seahawks' offensive tackle Germain Ifedi.

Open Draft Phase 3: 

BJ Daniels QB South Florida, Ja'Quan Gardner RB Humboldt State, Reuben Mwehla WR Idaho, Jalen Rowell WR Air Force, Na'ty Rodgers OT Houston, Shane Bowman DT Washington, Durrant Miles DE Boise State, Kyle Queiro LB Northwestern, Jermaine Ponder CB Saint Francis (PA), Santos Ramirez SAF Arkansas.

Notable phase three picks: 

BJ Daniels was a seventh round draft pick in the 2013 NFL Draft by the San Francisco 49ers and was  member of the Seattle Seahawks from 2013-2015. He was on the Seahawks' practice squad when they won Super Bowl XLVIII over the Denver Broncos.

Rueben Mwehla played his high school ball at Bellevue High School before playing at the University of Idaho.

Shane Bowman played at the University of Washington from 2014-2018. His younger brother, Ryan, currently is a junior outside linebacker at UW.
