Firefighter injured while fighting rail car fire

SEATTLE — A Seattle Fire Department firefighter was injured while fighting a train rail car fire Wednesday night.

The fire broke out before 8:30 p.m. in the 8200 block of Airport Way South.

The firefighter was taken to Harborview Medical Center in stable condition.

Officials did not provide any details about the firefighter’s injury or what might have caused the fire.

The investigation is ongoing.
