Family displaced after Bothell house fire

A family of four was displaced Monday night after a fire ripped through their Bothell home.

After 6 p.m. firefighters responded to a report of a house fire with someone still inside in the 17700 block of 30th Drive Southeast.

When firefighters arrived, they found a fast-moving fire that extended throughout the back of the home.

Firefighters ran to the back of the house and found one person still inside the home. Crews got her out safely and evaluated her.

Officials said the fire quickly spread from the garage to the second floor, then into the attic and through the roof.

Crews continued to extinguish the fire and it took them 50 minutes to control it.

No injuries were reported.

Fire officials said crews will remain at the scene through the night to monitor hot spots.

Officials said the cause of the fire remains under investigation.

The American Red Cross is assisting the family.
