Fire erupts at Auburn motel

AUBURN, Wash. — Firefighters are at the scene of a fire at an Auburn motel after police, who were there for a call, spotted the flames.

Valley Regional Fire Authority first tweeted about the fire at the Auburn Motel, 1202 Auburn Way South, at about 5:40 a.m. Friday.

Fire officials said at least three units were involved.

Police officers helped evacuate the hotel. No one was hurt.

As of 5:55 a.m., firefighters said the flames were out.

The cause is under investigation.
