Education professor killed in I-90 crash

Troopers are investigating multiple crashes – with at least one person dead – on Interstate 90 near Ellensburg.

Police told KIRO 7's Deborah Horne Tuesday the person killed in the crash was a Central Washington University education professor.

Two other people were injured, one critically, police said Tuesday afternoon.

One of the collisions involved a semi-truck that flipped onto a pickup truck. The occupants of that pickup truck escaped with minor injuries.

Snoqualmie Pass closed again on Tuesday afternoon due to collisions. Eastbound closed at MP 34 near North Bend, and westbound closed at MP 106 near Ellensburg. Both directions were reopened by 11:45 p.m. Tuesday night.
