Dozens gather for Bernie Sanders' sold-out book tour stop in Seattle

An enthusiastic group of people gathered outside a Seattle church where former presidential candidate Bernie Sanders will host a signing on his sold-out book tour.

KIRO 7 News’ Gary Horcher is at the University Temple Church in the University District. We expect for Sanders’ event to start around 7 p.m.

Supporters told KIRO 7 News that they are motivated, now after the election, to use Sanders’ grassroots model to rebuild the Democratic party from the smallest levels back up to the national level.

People started gathering at the event at 4 p.m. to hear Sanders read from his new book, “Our Revolution: A future to believe in.”

A Twitter user shared an image around 5 p.m. on Wednesday, tweeting that Sanders spoke at the Amazon headquarters

The last time Sanders was in Seattle , 15,000 supporters attended a rally at Safeco Field.
