One man killed, 1 hit by stray bullet in SeaTac shooting

SEATAC, Wash. — Deputies are investigating after a man was killed and another was injured in a shooting Wednesday night in SeaTac.

Deputies responded to a report of a shooting at the Motel 6 at 18900 47th Ave S.

According to deputies, three constructions workers from out of town were staying at the motel.

The three were in the parking lot when they got into an altercation with a man, who was not a guest at the motel.

Deputies said the man pulled a gun and started firing at the workers at about 10 p.m.

One of the construction workers was fatally shot. A man, unrelated to the incident, was struck in the back by a bullet as he was getting out of the shower inside his motel room.

John Killarzoac said the bullet went through his first floor motel room window and described the moment he realized he had been shot.

"When I fell I told my mom, 'Get down on the ground! Get down on the ground and call 911,'" said Killarzoac.

The two other construction workers were not hurt and told police the suspect was a black man in his 20s around 6 feet tall who got away in a dark colored vehicle.

Police said the workers and the gunman did not known each other.

Deputies are still working on a motive, but Killarzoac's mother said she heard fighting minutes before the shooting.

"I heard a couple of guys arguing like money, the guy gave him money, but they say that's not enough he wanted his money now,'" said Margaret Killarzoac.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call police.
