Collision blocks both directions of US 2 between Snohomish and Monroe

A collision blocked both directions of U.S. 2 between Snohomish and Monroe Sunday afternoon.

The collision occurred near Roosevelt Road near Milepost 12, the Washington State Department of Transportation said.

It is unclear how many cars were involved in the collision or if anyone was injured.

U.S. 2 is a high-traffic route. An increased number of vehicles are expected on the road throughout the holiday weekend.
