Climber rescued after fall near Mount Thompson

SNOQUALMIE PASS, Wash. — First responders rescued an injured climber who fell around 100 feet near Mount Thomson on Snoqualmie Pass Saturday afternoon.

The climber was still dangling in his climbing gear when he first called 911. NORCOM Fire and Rescue, King County SAR and Guardian 2 all assisted in the rescue effort.

The response team successfully completed a extraction of the climber, and he was transported to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

The King County Sheriff's Office originally reported the climber had several fractures, but no additional information on his status is available.
