Car flips vertically onto Puyallup frozen yogurt restaurant in drive-thru crash

An SUV flipped vertically onto the side of a yogurt restaurant in a three-car pile-up on Tuesday.

Central Pierce County Fire and Rescue tweeted a photo around 11:15 a.m. of a vehicle against the building in a Starbucks drive-thru. See photos of the crash here.

Pierce County Sheriff's Department says that drugs were likely a factor in Puyallup's South Hill neighborhood collision.

A 42-year-old driver took her vehicle through the intersection of 132nd Street and Meridian Avenue, hitting the curb and trees before flipping over and striking two cars in the the drive-thru.

The driver was the only person in the flipped SUV. She was taken to the hospital to get her blood drawn; charges will depend on the outcome of that test.

Deputies say no one was injured, and that the crash "could have been a lot worse."

A KIRO 7 News photographer talked to the driver of the black GMC that was hit by the woman in the SUV.  She says it was a terryfying event.
