Brush fire burning on I-90 near Vantage

VANTAGE, Wash. — The Washington State Department of Transportation is working to control a brush fire that has burned its way through more than 300 acres on I-90 near Vantange.

WSDOT is reporting backups on the eastbound lanes. There are no delay in the westbound lanes due to the fire.

As of 7:30 p.m., eastbound traffic was backed up about 3 miles. WSDOT officials advised of a half hour delay.
No backups were reported on westbound lanes, although officials said they are using one of the lanes for emergency vehicles.
