Boyfriend of road rage victim seeks leads to solve case

SEATTLE — Visiting Kerry Park in Seattle's Queen Anne neighborhood is almost like therapy for Patrick Marshall.

“Every time I come here, it relaxes me,” Marshall explained. “Soothes me. Like all the problems, the pain goes away.”

It's where he and his girlfriend Taylor Hulsey spent countless hours.

But the 20-year-old he called his best friend was ripped from his life, killed in an apparent road rage crash last month.

“It’s just hard,” Marshall said, “There's a void missing in your heart.”

Magnifying the pain is the lack of leads in the case.

The Washington State Patrol is still looking for a red, four-door lifted Dodge Ram pick-up truck with tinted windows that cut off Hulsey's Jeep Liberty on northbound I-5 near Roanoke Street in the early-morning hours of Dec. 10th. Hulsey lost control of the SUV and smashed into the center divider.

A passenger in Hulsey’s SUV received minor injuries.

“I understand accidents happen,” Marshall added. “At the end of the day, her family, her friends, everybody just wants that closure, what happened.”

Marshall shared a song he wrote as a tribute to Hulsey.

He’s also imploring the other driver, or anyone with information, to come forward.

“I just want to know the whole story,” he said. “I want it to close. I want to finally come to a close so she could rest. So her family, hearts could be at peace.”

The WSP says it's unclear if the red truck will have damage since the vehicles may not have hit each other.

But officials say the driver most likely knows a crash occurred.
