Bloodworks Northwest in desperate need of blood donors after train derails onto I-5

Bloodworks Northwest is asking for help following an Amtrak train derailment onto I-5 that has left three people dead and at least 70 injured.

Bloodworks Northwest tweeted earlier Monday that additional Bloodworks donor centers are open today in Bellingham, Everett, Silverdale, Vancouver and more. Click here to find hours and more information on the Bloodworks donor centers.

Earlier Monday an Amtrak tain derailed on an overpass near Lacey, which is about 60 miles south of Seattle.

President Trump sent multiple tweets following the train derailment;

Anyone with questions about friends or family on the derailed train can call 901-523-9101. Family reunification center at Dupont City Hall.

Due to the train derailment, I-5 southbound is expected is expected to be closed all day. Gov. Inslee has declared a state of emergency.
