BELLEVUE, Wash. — Several Bellevue High School student-athletes have filed a lawsuit against the Bellevue School District and the Washington Interscholastic Activities Association.
The students claim they were targets of harassment, intimidation and bullying by aggressive investigators reviewing the school’s football program.
The lawsuit claims WIAA investigators racially targeted student-athletes.
The students allege the investigators used abusive tactics, while trying to find out if football players were being illegally recruited from outside the district and if boosters used false addresses to gain eligibility for those players.
