Authorities say an inmate who escaped from a jail in northwestern Washington state has been apprehended and the second was found dead from apparent suicide.
The Peninsula Daily News reports the two inmates at the Forks city jail escaped Monday night after assaulting a corrections officer.

The Clallam County Sheriff's Office says the body of 35-year-old Boe James Baker was found on private property about 100 yards from the jail on Tuesday morning.
Authorities say 22-year-old Alejandro Cendejas-Montoya was found at a family member's residence in Forks on Tuesday evening.
Authorities say the two rushed and knocked down the corrections officer. They struck her multiple times before the taking the keys and fleeing.
The officer was hospitalized with multiple facial fractures.
