Ambulance in Sequim destroyed in fire

SEQUIM, Wash. — A fire destroyed an ambulance in an early morning fire in Sequim on Tuesday.

There was a report of a vehicle fire at Olympic Ambulance at 2:05 a.m. after witnesses say they had seen an explosion.

A supervisor for Olympic Ambulance went out to investigate and saw one of their ambulances and the building it was in fully engulfed in flames.

The supervisor called 911 and when units arrived, the fire had spread to a second ambulance.

The cause of the fire is under investigation and estimated damages are expected to exceed $500,000.
