Dupont, Wash. — Officials with Alaska Airlines have confirmed they have lowered airfares for flights between Seattle and Portland following Monday's fatal train derailment.
At least three people are dead and over 70 others were injured when Amtrak train 501 derailed near Dupont, Wash. around 7:45 Monday morning. Dupont is about 60 miles south of Seattle.

All SB lanes of I-5 near Mounts Road in Pierce County will be remain closed throughout Monday. WSDOT officials say drivers should prepare for a multi-day closure.
