9-year-old hit by car in Renton

The scene has cleared since the child was hit.

Renton police say a 9-year-old was hit by a car.

The boy was sent to the hospital with serious injuries after the incident in the 900 block of Aberdeen Northeast, according to police.

KIRO 7 News called Renton Fire Department. A spokesperson said a car was trying to avoid hitting another car. It went up on the sidewalk and hit the child.
