77-year-old woman dies in Lake City hit-and-run

SEATTLE — Seattle police are asking the public to be on the lookout for a driver in a now-fatal hit-and-run in the Lake City neighborhood.

On Sept. 30, a 77-year-old woman and man were hit by a car near Northeast 125th and 28th Avenue Northeast, police said.

Investigators said the driver, who was in a white sedan, possibly a Subaru, fled the scene.

The couple's injuries appeared to be minor and both were taken to a hospital.

A week after the crash, the 77-year-old woman died.
