70-year-old Gold Bar man reported missing

The Snohomish County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public to be on the lookout for a 70-year-old man who has been missing since Monday afternoon in Gold Bar.

Olaf Eriksen was last seen walking away from his home at about 1:30 p.m.

Eriksen is described as 5 feet 9 inches, about 170 pounds, with green eyes and gray hair. He was last seen wearing a tan T-shirt with white stripes, blue jeans and tennis shoes. He suffers from dementia.

Deputies said Eriksen’s personal items were found by the Skykomish River in the 800 block of Croft Avenue.

A search and rescue helicopter searched the river by air and a marine unit searched by water since 5 p.m.

Anyone who sees Eriksen is asked to call 911.
