3 injured in West Seattle crash; street racing suspected

Three people were injured Tuesday night in a two-vehicle crash in West Seattle.
The crash happened in the 4900 block of West Marginal Way Southwest.
Eyewitnesses driving along the road when the crash happened said they had to pull over because a silver Audi was racing another car.
Moments later, the Audi spun out on the wet road and hit a smaller white car driving by.
The other car involved in the race sped off.
Fire officials said one person suffered serious injuries and the two others had lesser, non-life-threatening injuries.
Eyewitnesses said the more seriously injured person was a passenger in the silver Audi.
He had to be removed with the Jaws of Life.
The lanes are blocked due to downed power lines.
The official cause of the crash is under investigation.
However, a KIRO 7 crew on the scene saw police asking the driver of the Audi if he’d been “read his rights,” and an officer followed his ambulance to the hospital.
