Two 12 to 13-year-old boys were injured by fireworks on Monday.
The incident happened on the Muckleshoot Reservation in Auburn.
One of the boys was transported to Valley Medical and the other was taken to Auburn Medical with a shrapnel in his arm.
Police said they’re looking into two versions of the incident. .
The boys might have picked up a firework in the area that had appeared to have already been detonated. As they threw it, it went off.
Or, the boys could have found a firework that had not been discharged. One of them may have lit it and it exploded in his hand.
