One person was injured in a house fire in Lake Stevens on Saturday afternoon.
Fire crews responded to a residential fire at 2:19 p.m. in the 3400 block of 99th Drive Southeast. They arrived to find an active fire that was spreading to the attic. Firefighters were able to keep the fire from spreading to the rest of the house and neighboring homes after working for roughly 50 minutes.
Two adults and a child who lived inside the home were already outside when crews arrived. A man in his 30s sustained second-degree burns while trying to use a fire extinguisher and was transported to the hospital.
