Health care centers across the state are receiving more than $4 million in federal grant money to help hire workers to assist anyone who's uninsured apply for coverage under the new health care law.

Nintey-one people are expected to fill those jobs in Washington State.

Sea Mar Community Health Center in Seattle will receive about $665,000, and Country Doctor Community Clinic, also in Seattle, will receive more than $160,000.

Community Health Care in Tacoma will collect more than $124,000.

The National Taxpayers Union is criticizing the grants, which total more than $150 million nationwide.

A spokesman told KIRO 7’s Washington, D.C., bureau that money should go to more essential services.
