Loaded gun found in vehicle of man who threatened to hurt victim

 A man threatened to hurt a person at a South Seattle club early Saturday morning, and a loaded gun was found in his vehicle, police said.

SEATTLE — The incident happened at the Royal Esquire Club in the 5000 block of Rainier Avenue South before 1 a.m.

According to police, they received a complaint that a man at the club had been in an argument and was waiting outside to hurt a party.

Police were told that the man waiting outside was likely armed with a handgun.

When officers arrived to the scene, they found the man waiting in a vehicle across the street.

Officers got in contact with the man and found a loaded handgun. He was later identified and released from the scene.

Police said the threat was third party and the victim could not be located.

The gun was seized to prevent escalated violence, and was submitted as evidence.
