Lucky fan wins all expenses-paid trip to Atlanta

TUKWILA, Wash. — Hundreds showed up at Southcenter Mall Wednesday, hoping they had the winning ticket that would send them to Atlanta for the next Seahawks showdown.

For $10, fans got two scratch tickets and one entry in the big drawing for plane fare, hotel and tickets to the Hawks-Falcons game.

The lottery pulled in more than $45,000 from Wednesday night's drawing, and some people spent upwards of $300 for scratch tickets.

In the end it came down to two winners.

Lifelong fan Gary Holden was there to collect his prize.

"Excitement, crazy, " Holden said. "I'm shaking."

The second winner wasn't there, so she was informed by phone.

Fans who didn't win said they weren't too disappointed and said they’re sure the Hawks will win this week and they'll get another shot at the lottery.
