At least two people were hurt after a gunfight erupted overnight in Renton.

Police said two groups of people got into an altercation about 2:45 a.m. Thursday in the parking lot of the Sunset View Apartments on Martin Luther King Junior Way South, on the border of Renton and Skyway.

Police said two men in a white car were driving around looking for one of the men's girlfriend, who was in a car with two other men.  When the white car pulled up behind a second car, two men got out of the second car, pointed guns at the two men in the white car, and demanded their valuables, according to investigators.  One victim ran from the white car and was shot; another man in the white car pulled out his gun and returned fire.

A 19-year-old woman, who was in the second car, had gunshot wounds.  A 20-year-old man, who got out of the white car, was shot in the back.  Both victims were taken to Harborview with non-life-threatening injuries.

Police said that about an hour after the shooting, another gunshot victim walked into Harborview with six bullet wounds.  Officers said it was highly likely the man had been in the second car.

No arrests have been made in the shooting.

Anyone who witnessed the crime or has information about the shooting is asked to contact Detective Barfield at 425-430-7500  and reference case 14-6545.
