KIRO 7's Steve Raible Helps Raise Nearly $500,000 to End Homelessness for Children

May 10, 2012 — KIRO 7's Steve Raible emceed Wellspring Family Services' Powerful Change Luncheon, resulting in an outpouring of support from the community.

Celebrating the organization's 120th anniversary, nearly 1,000 corporate and civic leaders gathered with Raible in support of Wellspring's mission. Altogether, $474,393 was raised to help prevent and end homelessness for children in King County.

"For more than a dozen years I've been honored to emcee Wellspring's annual fundraising luncheon," said Raible. "The reason is simple: Wellspring staff and volunteers have done remarkable work to help families and children in need for 120 years. It is our mission at KIRO 7 not only to report the major news of the day in our community, but to help improve the lives of those we serve. With Wellspring, it's a perfect partnership."

Wellspring Family Services builds emotionally healthy, self-sufficient families and a non-violent community in which they can thrive.
