KIRO 7's Michelle Millman Helps Raise $200,000 with the March of Dimes

May 12, 2012 — KIRO 7's anchor-reporter Michelle Millman traveled south to emcee the March for Babies Walk in Tacoma.

Surrounded by 1,200 walkers that helped raise $200,000, Millman established a warm and friendly atmosphere that encouraged community support for mothers and babies.

"I had so much fun emceeing the March for Babies Tacoma event!" said Millman. "What a great crowd, with hundreds of people coming out to help babies. KIRO 7's involvement in the community gives me such a unique and wonderful opportunity to meet so many who are passionate about helping right here in our hometowns. And this is certainly the case with March of Dimes."

The March of Dimes is the leading nonprofit organization for pregnancy and baby health. With chapters nationwide and its premier event, March for Babies, the March of Dimes works to improve the health of babies by preventing birth defects, premature birth and infant mortality.
