King County deputy involved in 3-car crash

PIERCE COUNTY, Wash. — A sheriff's deputy and four other people were involved in a three-car crash late Monday.

The front of that King County deputy's patrol car was smashed.

Washington State Patrol troopers said a car was turning into a driveway when it was rear-ended by a van.

The deputy then rear-ended the van.

The crash shut down part of State Route 162 between Sumner and Orting for a few hours.
