JBLM soldiers return home in time for holidays

JOINT BASE LEWIS-McCHORD, Wash. — More than 100 Joint Base Lewis-McChord soldiers returned home Sunday just in time for the holidays.

The soldiers from 2nd Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division, spent the last nine months in the Kandahar, Afghanistan, helping secure peace and stability. The soldiers also helped the Afghan National Army in peacekeeping operations.

Family and friends were at JBLM to reunite with the soldiers.

The Stryker is the last main body flight that will be returning before the holidays.
