Semi rolls over on I-405 in Bellevue

BELLEVUE, Wash. — Hours after a FedEx semi rolled over on northbound I-405 in Bellevue Friday morning, the northbound exit for Northeast Fourth Street remains closed.

The crash happened just after midnight near downtown Bellevue.   The two right lanes of I-405 near the exit were blocked for about five hours as well as the Northeast Eighth exit.

There was also a two-car collision nearby.

The semi destroyed the barrier and packages littered the roadway. The State Patrol said fuel spilled as well.

The driver suffered minor injuries and was transported to a local hospital.

A cause for the crash has not been released but the roadway was very wet at the time of the crash.

The Northeast Eighth exit reopened around 7 a.m.
