CENTRALIA, Wash. - Detectives are investigating partial human skeletal remains found near Centralia Friday evening.
At 5:23 p.m., a resident in the area of the 2800 block of Little Hanaford Road called 911 to report that he had found the remains while walking his dog.
The remains were found on property in a wooded area and close to a roadway.
Investigators believe the remains were dumped at the location.
Lewis County authorities and search and rescue teams searched the area Saturday morning.
The identity of the remains has not been released and detectives will continue to investigate.
