PIERCE COUNTY, Wash. — A firefighter has minor injuries after a large house fire near Lake Taps Thursday afternoon, fire officials said.
Smoke could be seen for miles on Thursday afternoon as firefighters worked to control the flames.

A woman living inside the home, made it out and she is OK.
Chopper 7 was above the fire around 5 p.m.

The fire was first reported as a roof or garage fire on 186th Avenue.
