Homes needed for most of 60 dogs received in shipment to PAWS

LYNNWOOD, Wash. — If you’re looking for a dog to add to your family, PAWS has just received a shipment of 60 dogs, most of which are up for adoption.

According to Mountlake Terrace News, PAWS took a shipment of mostly small dogs at its shelter in Lynnwood Wednesday.  They had only planned on accepting 30, with the remainder going to other shelters in state, but those shelters were unable to take the others because of various problems.

PAWS has only has 50 kennels, so many dogs have roommates, which is OK for smaller dogs, who often prefer a companion, PAWS Director of Animal Companion Kay Joubert said.

The dogs, which were in danger of being euthanized, were flown in from California by a group of retired pilots called Wings of Rescue.

To adopt one of the dogs or a cat, visit the available pets section on the PAWS website.
