Homeowner interrupts burglary, shoots at suspect

Everett police are searching for a burglar who may have been shot by a homeowner who found the man in his garage in Everett overnight.

 

According to police, a homeowner called 911 just after midnight and said he fired a shot at a man who broke into a detached garage at his home in the 1700 block of Cedar Street .

 

The burglar fled after the shooting.

 

Police established a large perimeter and deployed K-9 units in the area,  but the burglar was not found.

 

Police are unsure if the burglar was hit by the gunfire.

 

The burglar is described as white, 5 feet and 9 inches tall with a goatee and a green hooded sweatshirt.
